Deputy Chief of Staff
Brenton serves as Deputy Chief of Staff. In that capacity, he directly advises the Councilmember on all pertinent matters related to Council District 12. Since 2002, he has played a critical role in every successful Council District 12 election campaign. During his tenure, Brenton has staffed Councilmembers on committees such as Budget and Finance; Rules, Elections, and Intergovernmental Relations; and Ad Hoc Committee on Business Tax Reform. He assists the Councilmember and staff with legislation, communication strategy, and district events.
Brenton grew up in West Hills and graduated from El Camino Real High School. He earned an Associate Degree from Los Angeles Pierce College and graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. In his spare time, Brenton enjoys hikes with his wife Daisy, taking care of the numerous fish in his household aquarium, and fantasy football.
