Last week, we introduced you to Senior Lead Officer Patti Peteque who was the Council District 12 choice for the Pioneer Woman recognition by Los Angeles City Council. This week, I wanted to share with you some of the work she did in the community to improve quality of life in our District.
My office has been working with Metrolink and Union Pacific to maintain better care of the rail line corridors that traverse our community particularly when it comes to growing homeless encampments. Since these corridors are not city property, they are technically outside of the jurisdiction of our City outreach teams, requiring extra coordination.
After working with these agencies, I was very happy to see that one of the main trouble spots along the rail line was recently cleared and that Patti Peteque was there to help supervise the clean up and make sure services were offered to those residing in the encampment. She has been an all-star of compassionate service and her leadership is key to the ongoing success of our Neighborhoods First Initiative.
Thank you to the LA County Sheriff Deputies and Metrolink team for your assistance in ensuring our communities are kept safe and clean.
