Public Works Deputy
Matthew serves as the Public Works Deputy for Council District 12, assisting constituents with issues from street lighting, sidewalk repairs, street resurfacing, potholes, weed abatement, tree trimming, and more. Prior to joining the staff of Councilmember Lee, Matthew spent many years as a deputy serving the Twelfth District. Prior to joining the City, he spent several years as a field deputy and district scheduler for U.S. Congressman Brad Sherman.
A native of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley, Matthew was born and raised in Northridge, California. He attended local schools, including Granada Hills Charter High School. Matthew’s community involvement includes serving as a neighborhood councilmember, a former board member for SOLID (Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire), and currently serving on the board of directors for the North Valley Family YMCA. Matthew graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in political science
