- As your Councilmember, Mitchell Englander is committed to putting public safety first because he believes that public safety is the first and most important role of local government. His policy priorities are public safety, preserving the quality of life in our neighborhoods and returning the City to its core services:

Improving, maintaining and repairing our streets, sidewalks, and providing weed and graffiti abatement and tree trimming.
Parks & Libraries
Preserving, expanding and improving our parks, recreation facilities, and libraries for our children and seniors.
Planning & Land Use
Protecting open space, natural areas, and the character of our neighborhoods and equestrian areas - Economic Development
- Make Los Angeles more business friendly by cutting the red tape to help our local businesses thrive, expand and locate in Los Angeles so that they can drive the economy and create quality jobs for our citizens
Councilmember Englander is dedicated to striving for transparency, accountability and fiscal responsibility in City Hall, and working to improve the business climate to help our local businesses thrive and create jobs for our citizens. His priorities also include expanding the City and the Council office's partnerships with community-based organizations, businesses and citizens, working as an advocate on behalf of the citizens of Council District 12 to ensure that they receive the best possible City services, bringing a spirit of customer service to City government, modernizing and streamlining the City's interactions with the public to improve response and service.
